Specially Brewed for the Oktoberfest festival it has a hint of malty sweetness that gives the beer a perfect balance.
“Good, better, Paulaner” – the well-known slogan of Paulaner Brewery is not just an advertising slogan. It is a yardstick for every Paulaner employee. The name Paulaner has stood for the highest quality and Munich beer culture since 1634.
The Original is a Gloriously golden lager, extremely elegant and full bodied with perfectly fizzling bubbles
A mild and fruity wheat beer with delicate yeast flavour gives a beautiful taste to this large headed cloudy beer
This beer has an enticing chestnut brown colour due to its dark malted wheat content.
Rotkappchen - A dry German Sparkling Wine perfect for celebrating.

The Merry Monk Beer Tent's Famous Strawberry Beer will be available at this year's Oktoberfest Belfast

Under the name The Merry Monk Taverns we are a German bar which trades at different shows across the UK, and are the North East of England's representatives of Paulaner. In past years we have put on an Oktoberfest at the King’s hall, Belfast which proved to be a success with the public and had a couple of sell out nights! Due to the high demand for this event we have decided to return again this year!
In 2008 and 2009 we gave Belfast a small imitation of the Munich festival and after four years in the waiting The Merry Monk Tavern returned the celebrations to Northern Ireland in 2013. The events were a great success with sell-out crowds who enjoyed the great atmosphere presented by a well balanced mix of traditional ‘oom pah pah’ band and local entertainment.
The Oktoberfest returned in 2013 to The Kings Hall, Belfast and was bigger than ever before with more music, more food, and of course more beer. Backed by one of the biggest breweries in Germany, Paulaner, this year’s Oktoberfest Belfast sets to be bigger with every year become more popular. It really is a fantastic event that brings a small slice of the German festival to Northern Ireland’s capital.
The Munich Oktoberfest has been running since 1810 and now hosts 6 million people year on year that come together to celebrate everything German. It creates an atmosphere like no other and is one of the world’s biggest events.
After the success of the German beer tent at the Christmas market in Belfast, it’s no secret that the people of Northern Ireland, love good quality German beer. Oktoberfest Belfast offers the full German experience with quality beer, music, food and Heidi girls. It really is set to be a great way to soak up the atmosphere of the great Munich festival without having to fly over 1,000 miles.
With the the Kings Hall now a non-event space Oktoberfest Belfast has found it's new home in Custom House Square. Oktoberfest Belfast will have a full range of beers to meet your palate, including Paulaner Oktoberfest Lager which is only brewed for the Munich Beer Festival. All the food and beer will be delicious and served by friendly staff in traditional Bavarian costumes. As is tradition in Bavaria the beer will be served in 1 litre glasses (steins).
We also have a German grill which serves Bratwurst's to our hungry customers,
We will also be returning once again this year to the Christmas market in the grounds of the city hall to showcase our German beer tent which is a big hit with the public each year!
